PET PICKUP, INC. HISTORY / COMPANY PROFILE

PET PICKUP has been servicing Southeastern Lower Michigan since 1993. We are the first dog waste removal / pooper scooper service company to become established in Michigan (if not the first to become established in the United States of America).  This makes Pet Pickup "MICHIGAN'S PREMIER DOG WASTE REMOVAL SERVICES PROVIDER". Our mission statement is: "WE PICKUP WHERE YOUR PETS LEAVE OFF". In the pursuit of that mission PET PICKUP has been providing a service to almost all of the 5 counties in southeastern Michigan that covers Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Livingston and Washtenaw counties.  Pet Pickup’s dog waste removal service is now entering its fourth decade / 30 years. As many families have pets along with very busy schedules, we are fulfilling the need for this undesirable, tedious and time consuming canine chore.

We arrive promptly on a scheduled basis professionally uniformed and identifiable. We meticulously service your property to locate and remove the waste.  We also disinfect our tools and footwear upon completion of each service visit on our routes to help prevent the transmission of diseases (Our disinfectant is the same, or just as similar as, what your veterinarian uses at their establishments.).

Pet Pickup was started by a University of Michigan student as a business idea while attending college and majoring in business, economics and finance.  This student started Pet Pickup by printing simple black ink on white paper flyers and distributing them to local businesses / establishments.  Soon after a very small customer base began to develop and the first dog waste removal / pooper scooper service route was developed in Michigan.  The route was serviced by the student in his college car, a 1987 Escort.  Upon graduation from college this business idea was pursued on a full time basis and has grown steadily over the years.  Many more routes evolved / developed and we continue to grow.

Now Pet Pickup, Inc. is a privately held company, not an out of state franchise or “fly by night” operation, that was established in Michigan (and will remain based in Michigan).  Because of our business structure and business model our operating costs are lower which results in very nominal service fees.  We might not be the cheapest or the most expensive, but we are commercially based & fully insured. By employing our services your dollars will continue to be re-circulated in our states economy where its needed most. 

We provide excellent, professional and very responsive customer service, which has been indicated as second to none by our customers.  Over the years the concerns, disputes and approvals of our customers have helped Pet Pickup evolve the policies and procedures that many of our customers feel is fair and logical.  Pet Pickup is very flexible with changes in your dog / geese waste removal service needs.  THERE ARE NO CONTRACTS!  Whether you want to change the amount of visits per month, temporarily pause your service, change the areas around your home to be “serviced” or stop service indefinitely.  Pet Pickup’s customized software service system and processes will give you peace of mind and flexibility for your dog waste removal service needs.

Our route managers’ are paid a very generous wage to assure that every “service visit” will be focused on quality and not the lack of it.  Our route managers are assigned to the same routes / homes every week / visit so they are completely familiar with your yard / area, your pets areas of habit and in some cases even your pets.  Pet Pickup guarantees every visit with the option of a “service call”.  If you are dissatisfied with a service visit, then all you have to do is contact us within 24 hours of the visit and we will return to your home / business to rectify your concern and make adjustments on our end to assure the concern will not be recurring.
